Palm Beach Civic Association Holds 75th Anniversary Holiday Party

The Palm Beach Civic Association held its annual Holiday Party at The Breakers with 325 members in attendance. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Circle Ballroom, with music by the Joe Scott duo.

Civic Association Chairman and CEO Bob Wright welcomed everyone to the party.

“This season, the Civic Association is celebrating 75 years of protecting and improving Palm Beach,” Mr. Wright said. “Since 1944, we have been mobilizing town residents and getting them involved in the community. Tonight, I’m proud to report that your 75-year-old Civic Association is bigger and better and stronger and more engaged in Palm Beach than ever before. Our many volunteers are working hard to make sure Palm Beach keeps the special qualities we love and value.”

He led attendees in an anniversary toast to the association.

Mr. Wright thanked the event’s signature sponsors – The Breakers and the Frisbie Group.

“The Breakers has been a strong supporter of the Civic Association for a long time,” he said. “We appreciate everything they do for us and everything they do to make Palm Beach special. The Frisbie Group is dedicated to Palm Beach. They focus on innovative investment strategies, acquisitions, asset management, construction management and brokerage.”

He also recognized Boca Nursing Services of Palm Beach, the favor sponsor.

The Palm Beach Civic Association was founded in 1944 by a handful of civic minded Palm Beach residents who wished to preserve, protect and enhance the quality of life on the island.
