Two Surfers Saved by Palm Beach Lifeguards

Lifeguards Craig Pollock and Lex May are being praised for recognizing that a man and a woman 100 yards offshore from the former Charley’s Crab restaurant were in distress and struggling to stay afloat.

The two had been swept away by a strong riptide. Craig Pollock, a surfer  and lifeguard for decades teamed up with fellow lifeguard Lex May to don fins, grab an abandoned surfboard from the beach and bring the couple to safety.
