The aftermath of Hurricane Dorian has put a damper on swimming in the ocean. Palm Beach County has issued a “do not swim” order for all of its beaches, including beaches in the Town of Palm Beach. The concern is water quality that has been harmed due to extensive flood water storm runoff. The County is conducting water quality testing all along the shoreline. Results won’t be known for several days, during which time the no swim ordinance will remain in effect. So for now, cooling off in the water is limited to pools.
