As of Friday, May 1, the Palm Beach Civic Association is relocating into new offices on the second floor of the First Horizon Bank building at 180 Royal Palm Way.
The new headquarters will be open to the public on Tuesday, May 5.
The Civic Association has operated on the second floor of the Paramount Theatre building at 139 North County Road for more than 30 years. The Association decided to move because the interior of the landmarked building is undergoing extensive reconstruction as part of a redevelopment plan approved by the Town Council.
At its annual meeting at the Flagler Museum on April 13, Civic Association Chairman Michael Pucillo thanked the Frisbie Group for leasing the new office space to the Civic Association under favorable terms.
“We greatly appreciate what the Frisbie Group has done for the Civic Association,” Pucillo said. “They’re allowing us to spend the next three years in these better-conditioned offices than what we have had.”
The new office has roughly 3,000 square feet of space, which is about the same as the previous site at the Paramount.
The lease at the First Horizon site is for three years. Beyond that, the Civic Association is looking to purchase a permanent headquarters and plans a capital campaign, Pucillo said.
The new office is located in Suite 203 of the First Horizon Bank building. The Civic Association’s office phone line will be out temporarily of operation until Tuesday morning, but the number will remain the same at 561-655-0820.
Founded in 1944, the Civic Association is a registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to safeguarding the quality of life in the town of Palm Beach through education, community engagement and advocacy on local issues.
It is led by 145 directors with 15 standing committees, including a 19-member Executive Committee headed by Pucillo, Vice Chairman Michele Kessler, and Treasurer Michael Ainslie.
