There have been  scattered power outages and some minor flooding , but apart from a few limbs down and the appearance of a ghost town, there was little evidence a Category 5 hurricane roared past just off our coast. The evacuation order stood through Tuesday but may soon be lifted. A battered sailboat, origins unknown ,was hung up on the jetty leading into the Palm Beach inlet. Surfers capitalizing on the high tide swells caught waves nearby. Many residents left town for the states west coast when it grew uncertain whether Dorian would turn north. A caravan of Palm Beachers headed back this afternoon with word the threat had diminished.
