Gangs Break Into Cars

Palm Beach police, along with officers from several other affluent local communities, are closing in on the gang responsible for 13 car burglaries and 11 car thefts on the Island, since the first of the year.

Chief of Police Nicholas Caristo reported to the Town’s Public Safety committee today that a multi-agency task force has identified the gang members, and is close to making their arrests.

This gang hit not only our Town of Palm Beach, but Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens. The Chief wanted the community to know that this gang of thieves was highly organized but, he said, “arrests are imminent”.  Town Council member Julie Araskog encouraged all Town residents to be vigilant and always lock your car doors.
