TESTING POSITIVITY RATES ON THE RISE
• The number of new COVID-19 cases and testing positivity rates has been on the rise nationally for the last few weeks. In the Town of Palm Beach and in Palm Beach County, new COVID-19 cases also continue to increase, with daily positivity rates over the last week in Palm Beach County inching towards a 7-day average of 10%.
• The Town strongly urges residents to be extremely cautious and follow CDC recommended protective methods when in public spaces, as community spread of COVID-19 is active.
COUNTY-WIDE MASK MANDATE REMAINS IN EFFECT
• Per Palm Beach County Order, masks or other types of face coverings MUST be worn by all persons within the Town while visiting or working in any businesses, establishment, or residential buildings. Face coverings MUST also be worn by all persons in outdoor public places where social distancing of 6 feet or more is not possible.
• All businesses and establishments shall ensure compliance with the provisions of this order and shall establish a process for verification of compliance upon customer entry into the establishment. Specific signage must be displayed in the business requiring masks and signage must be posted conspicuously for easy visibility at all entry points.
• MASKS MUST BE WORN PROPERLY – Please ensure masks and other acceptable face coverings are worn completely over the NOSE and MOUTH when in the presence of others. When removing masks, only touch the strings or ear loops. Do not touch the actual face covering to avoid contaminating your hands. Masks should be washed or disposed of after wearing them.
WORKING TOGETHER TO SLOW THE SPREAD
• With infection and testing positivity rates continuing to rise, the Town strongly urges residents to AVOID THE THREE C’s – CLOSED spaces with poor ventilation, CROWDED spaces with many people nearby and CLOSE-CONTACT settings such as close-range conversations. Also remember to wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands frequently.

(Individuals 65 and older, as well as individuals with significant underlying medical conditions, should take extra measures to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19)
