Bridget Moran has announced she will seek re-election to the Group 3 Town Council seat in the March 10, 2026, municipal election.
Moran filed candidacy papers earlier this week with the Palm Beach Town Clerk’s office. As of noon on Wednesday, no challenger had stepped forward to file or announce intentions for the seat.
In a press release announcing her intention, Moran pointed to her record of preservation, growth management and town safety.
“I’ve worked hard to ensure projects are town-serving and in alignment with our comprehensive plan,” Moran said in the release. “I’ve kept our safety a top concern and ensured critical infrastructure needs were prioritized so we could properly plan for the future.”
Moran, who is a Midtown resident, is serving her first two-year term on the council. She joined the council after defeating John David Corey in the March 2024 town election.
Moran is chair of the council’s public works committee and a member of its ordinance, rules and standards committee.
She is a former member of the Landmarks Preservation Commission, where she served for about three years.
Moran told the Civic Association Wednesday that she has enjoyed her first term as a council member. “I like hearing from people on matters that are important to them” she said.
Before joining the council, Moran donated than 20 years of service to the Palm Beach community. She previously served as a board member of Safeguard Palm Beach, the allocation chair for the Town of Palm Beach United Way, and president of St. Edward Guild, according to her release.
Moran is a former Civic Association director who resigned that post when she joined the council.
The Civic Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It does not endorse political candidates.
To qualify for placement on the ballot, candidates must be nominated for a specific office or council seat by registered town voters at the Town Caucus. This year’s caucus will be on Tuesday, December 2, at Town Hall, at a time to be announced by the town.
