Following graduation from The Villanova School of Business and military service, Michael joined his family in the Real Estate business in Albany N.Y. He later completed the Presidents and Owners Management Program of Harvard Graduate School of Business. He has been a director of State Bank of Albany 1982-1989, Fleet Bank 1989-1999 and Fleet Boston Financial 1999-2004. Michael presently serves on the Advisory Board of Wilmington Trust Florida and M&T Bank. He has served on numerous Boards including Villanova University 2003-2013, College of St Rose 1978-1984, Emma Willard School and as President Mercy High School and Board Chairman of St. Peter’s Hospital Albany N.Y.

His service and philanthropy have been directed toward youth, education, and health within his community. He and his wife, Margi, reside in Palm Beach, and have three grown children.
