Mr. Beaty is a private investor. He was a cofounder of 3i, Implant Innovations, Inc., a global dental implant company based in Palm Beach Gardens. Prior to founding 3i, he was CEO of Latham Manufacturing Company. From 2003 through 2013, he was the principal shareholder and chairman of Exuma Technologies, Inc., a company that provides software to the marine industry. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Beaty was staff engineer for the Governor’s Florida Energy Committee, which was established during the Arab oil embargo in the early 1970s, was involved in founding and initiating operations for Florida Solar Energy Center, and has consulted and conducted research in the energy field. He has been involved in numerous business activities in Florida and internationally, and served on the board of directors of Fidelity Federal Bank and Trust of West Palm Beach. Mr. Beaty’s charitable activities include Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, serving as former chairman of the board of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries and coaching youth league sports for many years. He has lived in Palm Beach County since 1977. Mr. Beaty and his wife, Linda, have two children and two grandchildren.
