Mr. Scott served as president and CEO of the US/USSR Trade and Economic Council, a quasi-governmental body, and an organization dedicated to increasing US/USSR trade and diminishing the cold war, 1974-79. He served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce in the administrations of Presidents Nixon and Ford, 1969-72. He was director of US Private Investment Corp., also a governmental body, in the administration of President Nixon. He served as chairman of Palm Beach Civic Association. Mr. Scott was a former director of several corporations including Key Bank of Florida, and former director and executive committee chairman of the Planned Parenthood area chapter. He was a senior warden of Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea. He is a graduate of Yale University.
