Mr. Carter was the co-founder and CEO of TCG Financial Partners, a defense-related strategic advisory and private equity firm. His founding partner was William Cohen a former U.S. Secretary of Defense. He had previously been the head of corporate and investment banking for Bank of America Securities and prior to that CEO and global head of investment banking of Deutsche Bank Securities. Prior to that, he was managing director of Merrill Lynch Investment Banking Group, and vice president at Continental Illinois National Bank. Mr. Carter received his BS in marketing/management from Miami University in 1975 and his MBA in finance from Miami University in 1977. He has been a resident in Palm Beach for 28 years. He was appointed by the Palm Beach Town Council to serve as Chairman Pro-Tem of the Town’s Retirement Board since 2016. Mr. Carter has four grown children and two grandchildren.
