How to reverse a court ruling that shot down the ban on the commercial use of plastic bags and polystyrene cups was at the top of the agenda as the Civic Association Environmental Committee met with town leaders.

Palm Beach was leading the way on the ban of certain plastics that are finding their way into the food we eat, the ocean we enjoy and the birds and sea life that is being poisoned by it.

Palm Beach Mayor Gail Coniglio (seen above) is looking for a win on a volatile issue.

The plan is an aggressive one..to press local legislators to help change the law which forced the town to scrap a plan that made Palm Beach the first municipality to show its eco friendly commitment.
