The Southern Boulevard Bridge will be closed from 12 a.m. until 4 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, for work on the bridge’s mechanical components, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
Traffic will be detoured to the Royal Park Bridge via US 1/South Dixie Highway and State Road A1A.
After more than five years of construction, the new Southern Boulevard Bridge opened to drivers and pedestrians in September. The $97 million bridge, which replaced an earlier version built in 1950, is one of three spans that link Palm Beach with West Palm Beach.
