The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency or DARPA is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the military. The Internet and advanced prosthetics are just two of the results of DARPA projects.

Using the government agency model of DARPA for healthcare, Mr. Wright hopes to find cures faster and save lives. He founded Code Purple Now to fight pancreatic cancer and forming HARPA would go a long way toward finding a cure.
