Awards
The Palm Beach Civic Association gives back to the community in many ways, including through the following awards and scholarships programs.
Raymond J. Kunkel Award (annually)
The Kunkel Award was established in 1976 in memory of Raymond J. Kunkel, who was a Civic Association chairman. The Raymond J. Kunkel Award given each year to an individual or group that renders heroic and/or meritorious service to the Palm Beach community.

William J. “Bill” Brooks Community Service Award(annually)
Presented each year to an individual for outstanding service to our community, significantly improving the quality of life in Palm Beach.
It is named for the late Palm Beach Town Council president and longtime general manager of WPTV Channel 5, who passed away in 2010.

Town of Palm Beach Employee of the Year Award (annually)
Each year an employee of the Town of Palm Beach is honored for outstanding service to the town by the Palm Beach Civic Association and Citizens’ Association of Palm Beach, who jointly give the employee a plaque and $3,500. The award began in 1978.
Palm Beach Civic Assoc. & Citizens’ Assoc. of Palm Beach College Scholarship (annually)
The Palm Beach Civic Association and Citizens’ Association of Palm Beach each year jointly confer an academic scholarship to the child of a Town of Palm Beach employee.
