Mr. Matthews is a native Floridian and has been involved with private investments and venture capital activities for more than 40 years.  His interests have ranged from energy and real estate to technology and entertainment. For the last decade he has been increasingly committed to not-for-profit and charitable interests.  He is currently an officer of Palm Beach Day Academy Board and serves as treasurer for the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum.  He also serves as trustee on the Society of the Four Arts Finance Committee; on the board of visitors of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; and as a life trustee of the Eaglebrook School, Deerfield, MA.  He served four years as board chair for the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
