Wendy Bingham Cox is a private investor and philanthropist who is committed to philanthropic endeavors focusing on science education and literacy for children.
Ms. Bingham Cox is principal of the Bingham family office, overseeing the Bingham family investment portfolio as manager of its investments. Until 2021, she owned WRB LLC, a California-based real estate investment company. Previously she was a ten-year partner in Wasson II Interior Design.
Current board commitments include Board of Overseers at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, Board of Trustees of Cox Science Center and Aquarium, West Palm Beach, Florida, the United Way of the Palm Beaches and Board of Trustees of the Max Planck Institute, Jupiter, Florida. In 2022 she received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and in October 2024 received the National Philanthropy Day Award from the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Wendy is a member of International Women’s Forum.
Previously, Ms. Bingham Cox co-chaired the Cal Parents Board of the University of California, Berkeley, served on the boards of the San Francisco Ballet, the Stern Grove Music Festival and Youth Tennis Advantage. She served in an advisory capacity in the rebuilding of the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco.
Ms. Bingham Cox holds a B.A. in Art History from Dartmouth College, a certificate from the Study Center for Fine and Decorative Arts London, Harvard Business School online Certificates in Leadership and Management, Specialization in Finance and Accounting, HBS Certificate in Negotiation. An accomplished tennis player, she held the No. 1 position in women’s singles at Dartmouth from 1979-1983, was named to the All-Ivy team all four years, and was inducted into the College’s Athletic Hall of Fame. She is married to Howard Cox and the mother of twin adult daughters.
