Pepe Fanjul, Jr. is Vice President Fanjul Corp., the parent of the Fanjul group of companies, including Florida Crystals, ASR Group and Central Romana Corporation. Fanjul Corp. is a privately held diversified agricultural, real estate, resort and renewable power-generating company with global operations and holdings in North America, the Caribbean and Europe. The Fanjul group of companies have the capacity to produce 6 million tons of sugar per year.

Mr. Fanjul is also Executive Vice President of Florida Crystals Corporation, a fully integrated cane sugar company that, with its subsidiary ASR Group, produces and markets its sugar through the brands Domino®, C&H®, Redpath®, Florida Crystals®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle’s®, and Sidul®. Florida Crystals pioneered organic sugarcane farming and milling in the U.S. and remains the only producer of certified organic sugar grown and milled domestically. Florida Crystals also owns and operates one of the largest biomass renewable energy facilities in the U.S., which uses sugarcane fiber to power its sugar operations. With ASR Group, the company owns Tellus Products, LLC, which makes single-use, compostable tableware and foodservice products from plant fibers that replace disposable plastic and foam products.

Mr. Fanjul is President of FCI Residential Corporation, a vertically integrated real estate services organization. The company develops, constructs and manages luxury rental communities. FCI Residential focuses its activities on multi-family residential development in urban and in-fill areas in Florida.  FCI Residential has in excess of 5,000 units owned and in the pipeline and is a subsidiary of Florida Crystals.

Mr. Fanjul is also Vice Chairman of the board and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Central Romana, a privately held company in the Dominican Republic, which owns 250,000 acres of land and is engaged in agriculture, real estate development, hotels and energy. Its agro-industrial activities include sugar production, cattle operations and power generation. Central Romana’s real estate businesses include ownership of the world-renowned Casa de Campo resort.

Prior to joining Fanjul Corp. and Florida Crystals, Mr. Fanjul was a principal at the investment banking and private equity firm Rhone Capital, LLC.

Mr. Fanjul presently serves on the boards of the Florida Crystals Corporation; ASR Group International, Inc.; FCI Residential Corporation; Central Romana Corporation; Tellus Products; BlueGate Partners, LLC; Palm Beach Aggregates; the Sugar Association (former Chairman); BIA Foods Investments; Florida Council of 100; the Palm Beach Civic Association and is President of the Florida Sugar Cane League.   

Mr. Fanjul holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Miami.
