Mr. Somers currently serves as the Managing Partner of Somers Investment Partners LLC, a Palm Beach-based family office focusing on technology and software investments in private companies. Previously, he served as Executive Chairman and principal owner of IDS Group, Inc. an international provider of enterprise application software to the world’s largest leasing companies. He co-founded and served as Managing Partner of two prior private equity firms, SV Investment Partners, the US affiliate of the British-based asset manager and merchant bank Schroders plc as well as Greenwich Street Capital Partners, an affiliate of the Travelers Group. He began his career at Morgan Stanley and Chemical Bank. Mr. Somers currently serves on the board of trustees of his alma mater, Washington University in St. Louis and as a member of the Council on Chicago Booth, the advisory board of his alma mater, the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.  He and his wife, Barrie, have three grown children and reside in Palm Beach.
