Mrs. Foster is retired executive vice president and director of research at Ashbridge Investment Management. She was formerly investment officer with Smith, Barney, Harris, Upham and the John Hancock Life Insurance Company, where she was the equity health care analyst and director of client reporting and communications. Mrs. Foster was president of the board of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York and on the executive committees of the Population Council and the World Wildlife Fund. She served as treasurer of Network 20/20 and the Fishers Island Conservancy, and she is a former trustee of Connecticut College, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Franklin Institute. Mrs. Foster grew up in Hawaii, earned a BA at Connecticut College, studied Soviet literature at the Radcliffe Institute, and received an MBA with honors from Boston University. Mrs. Foster moved from New York City to Palm Beach in 2011. In 2014 she received the Polly Earl Award from the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach for the renovation of her landmarked house designed by Maurice Fatio. Mrs. Foster is a member of the Healthcare Committee of the Palm Beach Civic Association.
