Lawrence Kaplan

Director

Lawrence Kaplan currently focuses on private investment and serves on early-stage company boards.

Kaplan has 25+ years of experience managing media organizations and start-ups, and held senior roles at Channel One Television Network, AOL / Time Warner,
Forbes, and LTB Media. Thereafter, he operated Ellipse Media Advisory in NYC which provided business and advisory services for luxury, design, and financial clients.

During his consulting and advisory work, Kaplan successfully launched start-ups including a London-based television production company, NYC-based women’s sportswear company, Brooklyn-based manufacturing concern, and modern-day members club facilitated by mobile technology, which was acquired by CurtCo Robb Report Media.
He serves the Town of Palm Beach on the Shore Protection Board and Water
Committee. He also participates in strategic committees for the Kravis Center and Palm Beach Symphony.

Kaplan holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Wharton School, an MA in International Management from the Lauder Institute, and a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania. He is an avid swimmer, tennis player, golfer, and
skier. He resides in Palm Beach with his family.
