Ken Franklin

Director

Dr. Franklin is a Clinical Professor in the Cardiovascular Division, Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical School in New York City. He practiced cardiology as an Attending Physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center for thirty years. Dr. Franklin also served as a Consultant at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Medical School, where he was a John Woodruff Simpson Fellow. Dr. Franklin has enjoyed his home in Palm Beach since 2014. He is an author and co-author of multiple publications in medical journals and has presented his research at national meetings of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. The Heart Failure Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center was dedicated in honor of Dr. Franklin. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and was Vice President of 72nd Street Medical Associates in New York City. Dr. Franklin’s novel, Subtraction, is to be published in late April, 2026. He is on the Palm Beach Civic Association’s Healthcare Committee and is a Director of the Coudert Institute.
