For over 20 years, Frances Fisher has dedicated her service to the growth and betterment of the Palm Beach community. She currently serves as Chairman of the Board at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens; trustee of Palm Beach Atlantic University LeMieux Center for Public Policy; Palm Health Foundation; Cultural Council of Palm Beach County; H.O.W. (Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper); Mind Movement Music Foundation; member of the Palm Beach Civic Association; National Council member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. Mrs. Fisher is a former trustee of the Norton Museum of Art, Cox Science Center & Aquarium, Palm Beach Day Academy, and Vestry member of the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea. Throughout the years, Mrs. Fisher has extended her leadership and continued support to the Historical Society of Palm Beach County; Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach; Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation; Hope for Depression; Center for Family Services; The Promise Fund and Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. She recently founded a new scholarship fund for mental and behavior health professionals at the Palm Health Foundation.
Mrs. Fisher has been recognized as a recipient of the Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians & Jews John C. Randolph Award; Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Women of Distinction Award; the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation Award; the Ryan Licht Sang Shining Star Award; the Center for Family Services’ Humanitarian Heart Award; and the Junior League Woman Volunteer of the Year Award on behalf of her service to the Historical Society of Palm Beach County.
Prior to joining the Palm Beach community, Mrs. Fisher gained professional experience at the national level in both the public and non-profit sectors in Washington, D.C. She served in the West Wing of the White House as Special Assistant to the Counsel for George H.W. Bush and member of the Advance Team for First Lady Barbara Bush. Following public service, Mrs. Fisher co-founded the National Environmental Policy Institute where she served nine years as Executive Director.
Mrs. Fisher is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she currently serves on the President’s Cabinet for the Rising Tide Campaign. She is also a graduate of The School of Theology at Sewanee University.
