Frances Terwilliger is cofounder and co-Managing Partner of Long Island based Terwilliger & Bartone Properties, a dynamic organization pioneering the way in smart and sustainable development of class “A” rental apartment communities.

Terwilliger & Bartone is the proud recipient of the 2012, 2014,2020, and 2022 Vision Long Island Smart Growth Awards along with the 2019 Regional Leadership Award. As well as the 2017 Long Island Builders Institute Diamond Award for Multifamily Development.

Prior to starting Terwilliger & Bartone, Fran had more than two decades in commercial lending, private banking and commercial real estate finance. During her lending career Fran held executive positions with Citibank, The ADCO Group, Dime Savings Bank, and concluded her lending career as Managing Director at Heller Financial where she was responsible for leading a team in originating debt and equity transactions for the east-coast and mid-Atlantic regions of the country. Fran has a BA from Ohio University in Marketing and an MBA from Adelphi University with a concentration in finance.

Fran supports many organizations philanthropically, including being a major donor to PETA. She also gives freely of her time participating in strategic planning and development for her charities, including serving as Co-Chair of the ORCAT/Grayvik Animal Care Facility at the Ocean Reef Club, where the Terwilligers have had a home for 20 years.

Fran and her husband Ron purchased a home in Palm Beach in 2019, and divide their time between Palm Beach, Ocean Reef and Oyster Bay, Long Island. In their spare time they enjoy travel, fitness, boating and above all, spending time with their family. They have four children and four grandchildren.
