Bill Bone has dedicated his law practice, and a lot of his spare time, to helping people. From his service work in college as a member of the exclusive Florida Blue Key Leadership Honorary Society to numberous other post-graduate leadership roles in his professional and personal life, Bill Bone has always tried to “give something back” to his community. His work on behalf of his clients has earned him a well-deserved reputation as a tough negotiator and one of Florida’s best Trial Lawyers. Personal: Bill Bone is a Florida native born at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, who attended the same High School as his father before him. He has 4 college age children, also born in West Palm Beach. His hobbies are community service, food, travelling the planet, participating in Olympic Distance Triathlons, viewing live theatre, and reading about world history and politics. Education: He attended the Univeristy of Florida as an undergraduate, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1981 and his Juris Doctorate from the Univeristy of Florida College of Law in 1984.
Employment History: He is managing partner at the Law Firm of Larmoyeux & Bone, which was founded in 2001. He practiced with the firm of Lytal & Reiter in West Palm Beach from 1985 to 1993. Before that he was an associate of Montgomery, Lytal, Reiter, Denney & Searcy, P.A. Professional Associations: He is a member of the Florida Bar and has been continuously Board Certified as a specialist in Civil Trial Law since 1990, putting him in a select group of the top 10% of practicing lawyers; he is a Member of the Florida Justice Association (formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers). He is Past President of the University of Florida Law School Alumno Council and a Trustee Emeritus of the Univeristy’s College of Law. Community: He currently serves as Chair, Chamber of the Commerce of the Palm Beaches; Chair, Palm Beach Centennial Commission, Inc.: Chair, Do the Write Thing Palm Beach County, a program of the National Campaign to Stop Violence; Advisory Board Member, LeRoy Collins Public Ethics Academy; Member, Education Committee, and Corporate Partners Executive Committee, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts; Emeritus Member Board of Trustees for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County; Past Volunteer Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer for: The March of Dimes; American Heart Association; Palm Beach Police & Fire Foundation; and The South Florida Science Museum. Other community involvement includes: Past President of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, Inc., Past President, Rotary Club of West Palm Beach, Inc., Past-Trustee of the Palm Beach Community Chest/United Way; Past President of the Board of Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies; and Past Board Member of the Palm Beach Opera and Ballet Florida. Mr. Bone is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, having successfully completed the yearlong program in 1995. Legal Honors and Awards: The independent lawyer rating publication, Martindale-Hubbell, has repeatedly and continuously awarded him its highest accolades for both Legal Ability and General Ethical Standards; he has also received the highest awards possible from other Legal Rating services such as Super Lawyers and AVVO; and US News & World Report named him in its publication, Best Lawyers in America. While a student at the University of Florida, he was named to the University of Florida Hall of Fame for his leadership and achievement in extra-curricular activities, including Student Government and Florida Blue Key. In 2017, the Education Foundation gave him the Palm Beach County School District Alumni of Distinction Award; In 2018 the Legal Aid Society gave him a special Lifetime Recognition Award for helping pro bono clients; and in 2020, Nonprofits First, Inc. gave him its Lifetime Achievement Award.
